Official rules

Open to anyone 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) at the time of entry, except where prohibited by law. Minors may participate only with verified consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must accept these rules on their behalf.

The challenge is open to everyone — DJs, producers, remixers, singers, musicians, dancers, and content creators. You do not need to be a gospel artist to enter.

1. Download the official “I Need You” a cappella from this hub.
2. Create your original remix, edit, or performance using the a cappella.
3. Post your remix publicly on TikTok.
4. Include the required hashtag and tag, then (optionally) submit your TikTok link on the Submit Remix page so the team can find it.

Entries must be your own original work. You are responsible for clearing any third-party samples or content you add.

Every entry must include the hashtag #INeedYouRemix in the TikTok caption. Posts without the hashtag may not be discovered or considered.

You must tag Deitrick Haddon’s official TikTok account in your post. Tagging is how eligibility is verified and how you may be considered for a repost or feature.

The challenge runs for a 60-day window. All entries must be posted publicly on TikTok before the announced closing date and time. Late entries will not be considered. The exact deadline will be posted on this hub and on Deitrick’s social channels.

Entries are evaluated by Deitrick Haddon and his team on:

• Creativity and originality of the remix
• Production quality and musicality
• Faithfulness to the spirit of the song
• Audience response and engagement on TikTok

Judging decisions are final and at the sole discretion of the organizers.

One grand-prize winner will receive $1,000 USD and a featured spotlight on this hub. Additional recognition (such as a repost or shoutout) may be awarded at the organizers’ discretion. The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash equivalents beyond the stated amount. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes.

The winner will be contacted using the email and/or phone provided during a cappella download, or via TikTok direct message. If a winner cannot be reached or does not respond within a reasonable period, an alternate winner may be selected.

By entering, you grant Deitrick Haddon and his team a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to repost, share, display, and promote your submitted remix and related content across owned channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, this hub, and similar) in connection with the challenge. You retain ownership of your work.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Entry is free.
